The yellow rope
Soft tones of turquoise
Floating islands and lakes
A hint of pink
more like a painting
than water.
Red and orange seep into blue
creating intensity
Blue ink doodles
Electrifying
Flying flag reflections
This feels like summer
and this is spring
My favourite pond
Reflecting trees and blue sky
A sigh, contentment.
A simple muted puddle reflection can transform my mood
and heighten all my senses.
Gazing at water and the changing reflections
is one of life's deep-felt pleasures
I love that emotions and water are so intricately connected with one another.
Do you feel the connection too?
Wow, Sandra, you really found some beauties here!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the one with the pink in it.
The colors are so pretty.
Reflections are always such fun to notice and so diverse too! Thank you for your comment!
Deleteso cool, makes me want to take a dip...but I can't swim so I probably need to be rescue if I did...
ReplyDeletelovely abstracts to think things over...
have a sweet day.
Thanks for your visit, Lissa. Water abstracts are always so wonderfully contemplative!
DeleteGorgeous reflections, Sandra, and I especially love your new header photo.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, George!
DeleteAnother bunch of fab photo's reflecting nature. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sarn! I love how nature offers us stunning abstract reflections and captures!
DeleteA special summer post and fitting for June 1. I have always had an appreciation for abstract and the last one reminds me of a Monet painting. Happy June to you Sandra
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara. Yes, I believe that the colours above do bring us into a late spring and early summer mood!
DeleteI have always been attracted to water and all of his meditative powers and your captures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see you visit, Deanna! Water is indeed a meditative element. Thank you.
DeleteSuch gorgeous and tranquil shots!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We both love capturing water!
DeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! You have captured some remarkable water reflections. I love how water reflections are always changing with the moving water.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cathy! Water reflections are a world all on their own!
DeleteSandra, your photos are so beautiful! They inspire a response from my heart! Such a joy to see!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tammie.
DeleteLovely water abstracts! Water is endlessly fascinating isn't it? It can take on so many different shapes, forms and colors, yet it never loses the essence of itself...
ReplyDeleteKate :}
That's so true, Kate.
DeleteLovely, cool blue water! I do have a connection to water but mine is more with rivers and creeks, the endless flowing to somewhere! But I really enjoy looking at your reflections in the lake which is always a source for wonderful photos and words.
ReplyDeleteRivers and creeks are lovely too and they're energizing and always rushing to get somewhere - they never want to stand still! Lakes are calming and more contemplative unless strong winds whip them up and make them choppy with very interesting white-tipped waves! Best not to be on a boat at such times!
DeleteOh these blue/turquoise/aqua tones in the water just draw me in....and give me a sense of peace. Beautiful work, Sandra! The strongest connection for me is the image of the pond reflections -- love it!
ReplyDeleteYes, the two pond reflections, numbers 11 and 12, positively shimmer! That's because the water was moving due to a source at one end. All the lake reflection shots were taken on very calm water with the merest of ripples.
ReplyDeleteI fell a real affinity for water and reflections. This set is truly spectacular! Wish I had made them :) It's honestly hard to pick favs, as I like them all. If I had to choose though, the first image would get my vote.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you and that you're enjoying the season!
So nice to see you popping up here, Anna! I have a soft spot for that first image too, Anna. I think it's that yellow rope and all the reflections which seem to come down from that! Talk soon!
DeleteYou offer a watery art in all its glassy beauty. I'm drawn to water; even as a child, I loved to walk in the rain and watch storms. Your pond is a tranquil scene while most of my water sources this spring are torrents because of the melting snow.
ReplyDeleteWater is a wonderful energy in whatever form it takes: tranquil, rushing, rippling - all fascinating and beautiful. Thank you for commenting, Barb.
