Where shall I go today?

Wherever I go
There I am.

So says the book by Jon Kabat-Zinn
entitled
"Wherever You Go
There You Are".

I am in the soft greys and blues of the sky

and my face is turned upwards as the pink and blue pastels
come in at the end of the day.

and stand amazed as the clouds turn fiery red

or allow the blues to intermingle

I soar with the bird on outstretched wings

and still ask myself since I was a child
"How high is the sky?"

Look up at the break of day
and welcome dawn with outstretched arms.

Where shall I go today?
No need to ask...
I'm already there!

  1. Very philosophical! Love this. FANTASTIC sky pictures too - I love the sky - but can't answer your question of how high it is!!!!

  2. Lovely colors Sandra, the sky is always a complete wonder to me. I especially love clouds. The last image with the rays of light coming up over the mountain is just so pretty.

    1. Hello Barbara, I rather love that last photo as well, I was just about holding my breath and loved those moments before the sun really popped up behind the mountain range! The sun-rays are already shining on the summits on the far right of the capture. Such an exciting moment!

  3. This is one of my favorite post of yours! It's breathtaking and peaceful. Then, to top it off your words are magical! We have had some unusual skies this summer. Our summer skies are usually free of clouds, but this summer the clouds put on quite a show!
