Wherever I go
There I am.
So says the book by Jon Kabat-Zinn
entitled
"Wherever You Go
There You Are".
I am in the soft greys and blues of the sky
and my face is turned upwards as the pink and blue pastels
come in at the end of the day.
and stand amazed as the clouds turn fiery red
or allow the blues to intermingle
I soar with the bird on outstretched wings
and still ask myself since I was a child
"How high is the sky?"
Look up at the break of day
and welcome dawn with outstretched arms.
Where shall I go today?
No need to ask...
I'm already there!
So beautiful.. wonderful post!
ReplyDeleteSo kind of you to say so, Laura!
DeleteVery philosophical! Love this. FANTASTIC sky pictures too - I love the sky - but can't answer your question of how high it is!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sarn xxx
Aren't skies wonderfully different and changing! This summer they have been particularly wonderful!
DeleteLovely colors Sandra, the sky is always a complete wonder to me. I especially love clouds. The last image with the rays of light coming up over the mountain is just so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHello Barbara, I rather love that last photo as well, I was just about holding my breath and loved those moments before the sun really popped up behind the mountain range! The sun-rays are already shining on the summits on the far right of the capture. Such an exciting moment!
DeleteThis is one of my favorite post of yours! It's breathtaking and peaceful. Then, to top it off your words are magical! We have had some unusual skies this summer. Our summer skies are usually free of clouds, but this summer the clouds put on quite a show!
ReplyDeleteThat's so nice of you to say so, Cathy! The skies have been wonderful in this latter part of the summer. I'm so glad you've been getting them too!
DeleteRoll on the cooler days of autumn!

DeleteWhat amazing sky photos, Sandra! I can't select a favorite -- they are each uniquely beautiful. How lucky you were to be there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gina. Yes, it's always good to have my camera handy when such beauty is offered to us!
DeleteSuch amazing skies. Just looking up is like watching a special changing art show. The last photo is magical - sky, sun, mountains, and water all in perfect harmony.
ReplyDeleteExactly like watching a special changing art show, Barb!
