A sunshine flower
Yellow is the best colour to create enthusiasm for life!
Look at those pretty cut-out leaves
I had to show you Charlotte's pot of yellow marigolds
They bring me joy every time I look at them!
Pick one and put it in a very pretty vase.
This one was given to me by a good friend for my birthday!
If you like to crochet,
crochet a yellow doily and give it as a present.
Isn't the heart pendant pretty?
Such a thoughtful gift.
Be the sunshine in someone's cloud
and bring them a smile today!
I shall be away for a couple of weeks.
Enjoy the sunshine while I'm gone
and I'll see you in July again.
Lovely! I just planted some marigolds yesterday. The are such happy flowers!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely brought a smile to my face with this post! I hope your journey is full of surprises!

Thanks, Kate! We all need a little yellow in our lives and I see you're wearing a yellow sweater!
DeleteI love yellow marigolds and plant some every year. They are indeed the cheeriest flowers! What a wonderful tiny vase. :)
ReplyDeleteMarigolds are indeed a cheerful flower to plant and so easy too! Yes, that little vase is so pretty. I do have a fondness for small vases!
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful. Thank you for bringing me sunshine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sophia. I saw the weather forecast for the British Isles they predict sunshine and warmth for the south - so that means you will be getting a fair share!

Yellow always makes me smile! Lovely images! Enjoy your weeks away!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra,
ReplyDeleteI've just come across your blog via a link on Bunny Mummy and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Your photos are just stunning. TRULY stunning!!! Thankyou so much for sharing them. And your lovely poetry to go with them - I've never seen anyone else write their own haiku to accompany their photos. I know I will be popping back to visit often.
You've even inspired me to do something similar. I have a little blog of my own and post far too many photos on it - maybe they need their own place to live?...
Thanks again,
Tina :-)
Hi Tina! Welcome!
DeleteI'm only just back from a two-week absence, so I'm not sure you'll be popping in here again to this same posting! Thank you for your very kind words! I think that a single blog which covers different areas: like photography and crochet, or other crafts, is completely fine and can work very nicely in the same space - maybe treating just one subject at a time.
Your images are a gift to us, full of sunshine and happiness! Hope you enjoy your time away, Sandra!
ReplyDeleteso much sun shiny beauty!
ReplyDeletelove your yellows, your photos, your yard beauty
lovely Solstice to you ~

Thanks, Anna! This bright sunshine yellow makes me feel very hot right now! I think I have to photograph something blue or grey or maybe lavender to cool down again! I had a wonderful time away in my home country! Thank you!
DeleteI love yellow and this post.
ReplyDeleteWill miss your sharing
and wherever you go
may it be safely and return home with joy..
Thank you! I've come back to sweltering temperatures and so enjoyed my time away with cool and comfortable days!
DeleteSuch pretty yellows here, the flowers and the crochet. I hope wherever you are you're having a good time x
ReplyDeleteThank you Annie. I had a wonderful time in England in The Cotswolds area and London. It was so beautifully temperate and not too hot! I've come back to a cauldron here!
