Sky gazing
Seeing anything I choose to see...
like modern art
or tiny galloping clouds gathering momentum
as they roll and slide to an unknown destination.
A mighty-winged bird in full flight
Wavelets rushing towards the shores of infinity
Filling the frame as they hurry by
I'm swept along on their swirling energy.
Hold tight
and
enjoy the ride!
Whoosh!
I love your imagination Sandra xxx
ReplyDeleteI just love sky shots! Lovely!

This is wonderful! I love sky gazing! These skies are amazing and they do look like ocean waves. Love how the last one has some faint color to the right of center! Thanks for the ride!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, Sandra! It reminds of when I was a kid, enjoying summertime by staring up at the sky and looking for shapes in the clouds. It's good to return to childhood pleasures.
ReplyDeleteTruly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou've been looking up, Sandra. I like the line "Wavelets rushing towards the shores of infinity." I like sky-watching and daydreaming, too.
ReplyDeleteWe call cloud patterns of this kind 'sky doodles in our family. Lovely images Sandra :)
ReplyDeleteGreat skies. Also love the close ups of sparkly yarn in your previous post. Been doing a bit of research, found out that for soldiers in the trenches WW1, they spoke of enjoying cloud-watching.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that the soldiers in the trenches could enjoy some cloud-watching to bring a little lightness and hope into their difficult mission. Thank you for sharing that, Katharine.
DeleteCloud watching is one of my favorite things to do and on rides with the grandkids we make it a game. It's always interesting to hear what they see in the clouds. I love your shots and even more I like hearing your interpretation of what you were seeing. During this busy season, I think it's important to take "time out" to let our imagination take flight such as your picture of the bird....I really enjoyed this post...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely flight, Sandra! Clouds are so endlessly fascinating. Doesn't it catch at your heart to see an amazing sky-arrangement and know that in seconds or minutes it will be gone forever? But of course the ephemeral nature makes the beauty even more precious.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wavelets and mighty bird!
These are beautiful, Sandra!
ReplyDeleteI am always looking at the sky -- and stop to photograph it often. These are truly beautiful images that speak of so much more than what they are. Spaciousness, openness, possibility.
ReplyDeletelovely to read your words with your images
ReplyDeletethe sky is an amazing space and you look as though you were up in it!
What wonderful shots of the skies. I saw a programme the other day showed a huge gadget where they gathered water droplets from a cloud and then estimated how much it weighs. It was astonishing that this small cloud weighed two tonnes! xx
ReplyDeleteLovely clouds..I have been taking cloud photos also. Imagining all the while just as you have about what they might be but I didn't come up with the oceans wavelets..I love that!
ReplyDeleteI've loved sky gazing since I was a kid, so this is right up my alley, Sandra! Such fun :) We enjoy sitting on the dock and finding "things" in the clouds all summer.....miss those summer skies. Mainly flat grey skies here this time of year.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great eye! What lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteJust heavenly, Sandra! The sky has surely put on a beautiful show for you, love those wispy clouds!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing those clouds through your eyes.
ReplyDeleteMi sento a casa! Posso?;-)
