Summer Memories

Sharing a photo shoot is always fun!

Breakfast in the park

A little exercise

Home-grown forest strawberries
or should we say balcony-grown?

A boat cruise

Graceful water statues

Water contemplation

Our hands outstretched in fond connection

A mosaic of summer memories for my grandson and for me.

  3. What a sweet and heartwarming summery post. Such beautiful colours too, especially in the boat cruise photos.

I love the "photo of a photographer" shots - we always take those in my family too. :)

Hope your weather has cooled off a bit!

  4. Looks like it's been a wonderful summer for the two of you! Sharing photography with grandchildren is so special! We finally have enough cameras to go around when the boys are here. We have such fun together and I love to see the world through their eyes. I also love that they're always sending me photo links on Facebook or pictures they've taken because they know I'll like the subject, usually heart-shaped objects they've found! Special, special memories!

  7. Sandra, You must feel proud that Aydan is sharing your love of photography. I had 2 Grands last week and now all are back to school. When my Grands were here, we collected wild strawberries from the forest. They ate them on a scoop of vanilla and said they were the sweetest they'd ever tasted. Your days look beautiful there - enjoy the end of summer.

  11. This is such a happy post. I love that you and your grandson share the love of photography. Just think of all the memories you two are making as you share adventures. I recently bought my eight year old grand daughter a camera because she was always wanting to use mine. I love it when we go out scouting for interesting things to photograph. I have to tell you I am kinda amazed at some of the shorts shes taken....

    1. Yes, children of twelve remember those special moments in their childhood when they're all grown up! I always find it a shame that very small children cannot remember the delicious moments of those very early years!
