Oh, this post takes my breath away! You have captured the essence of winter, the beauty, the purpose! To me winter is a time of peace and restfulness; much like the earth resting before the glory of spring! I'm with you, let's done rush winter away!
Wonderful ode to the beauty of winter, Sandra! Your words and images create such poetry! All of these are beautiful, but my favorite photo has to be the bare tree branches -- I love the black branches against blue tones.
Hi Sandra ~ what a beautiful tribute to winter! You always seem to be great at enjoying the moment...what is. A perfect way to enjoy life :) The sixth image is my fav - the contrast of warm and cool colors, the design, the beauty of the moment. I'm having a hard time not wishing winter away lately. Our weather has been v. cold, windy, with below zero temps in the am. Kinda had enough....just sayin'
So pretty! Love the blue tones with the subtle pastel colors in the sky! Yesterday I was ready to be done with winter... but right now it's flurrying outside and the trees look so pretty coated in a light layer of white!! Kate :}
Lovely words and a nice winter post Sandra.
ReplyDeleteWish you a very nice day
Greetings, Joop

Such a lovely portrait of winter. I love the snow piled high on the branches, and the spare dried grass, and the red berries.
