We take turns in our family, one does Thanksgiving and one does Christmas. I had Thanksgiving this year, although we had my in-laws for Christmas, first time they have been home for Christmas in 10 years.Sarah Huizengahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07326211901751159368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4865166082152058468.post-47523494189928857282017-12-27T17:13:26.953+01:002017-12-27T17:13:26.953+01:00I hope you can do a back recording. The book was extremely well-written and the story-line unexpected (it's the best way I can describe what happens!)Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17015603838340372502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4865166082152058468.post-76380229513249171262017-12-27T16:30:28.021+01:002017-12-27T16:30:28.021+01:00Drat . . . I have just watched "The Miniaturist". The book, by Jessie Burton, which I read when it first came out, kept me spellbound and the film, in two parts, has been well constructed.
Enjoy your quiet time as well!Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17015603838340372502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4865166082152058468.post-29094581511867038522017-12-27T09:36:11.152+01:002017-12-27T09:36:11.152+01:00Good Morning Sandra . . . this is my first quiet d...Good Morning Sandra . . . this is my first quiet day following the 25th & 26th. Family came over yesterday for lunch (with all the trimmings) AND dinner . . . and I felt just like the scullery maid AND the hostess rolled into one! So pleased to have a quiet day today with a new craft mag and my Kindle!

Wishing you a delightful New Year.

Hugs, Sarn xxxSarnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12174058971522723860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4865166082152058468.post-9192032557630692572017-12-27T06:57:43.229+01:002017-12-27T06:57:43.229+01:00Thanks, Cathy! I also noticed that I need to clean the silver cutlery! Yes, a few quiet days now for my enjoyment!Sandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17015603838340372502noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4865166082152058468.post-13338032299458696312017-12-27T00:01:47.228+01:002017-12-27T00:01:47.228+01:00What a sweet little snowman to decorate your mince...What a sweet little snowman to decorate your mincemeat pie platter. Your pies look perfect and delicious. I'm sure your daughter and grandson enjoyed this family tradition with you. The only positive thing I can think about washing all those dishes is that your hands stay warm in the hot water! Enjoy your quiet time, your crocheting and your book.Cathy H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10779935742253650385noreply@blogger.com
