It's amazing how Lily of the Valley has reminded others of past souvenirs, often with their mothers.
How exciting to bring all those lovely flowering plants and seeds back home to plant in your garden! I'll be doing that soon too this month! I’ve been catching up today, and every one has been a feast for the eyes and heart. You have such a beautiful way of seeing the world around you.
As with other commenters here, Lily of the Valley reminds me of my mom, who tended a patch of it outside our backdoor when I was growing up. Mine didn’t bloom much this year for some reason, but I just came home from the garden center today with lavender, pink coneflowers, calibrachoa, yellow bidens, sunflower seeds, and a native wildflower seed mix for my own small patch. I can’t wait for everything to flower!
SusanAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12752628219836145623noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4865166082152058468.post-76670970352462623982019-05-05T15:58:08.873+02:002019-05-05T15:58:08.873+02:00It's a lovely sweet, fresh smelling scent, isn...It's a lovely sweet, fresh smelling scent, isn't it? When I see Lily of the Valley I always think of my mom. Her birthday is May 14th (she'll be 92!!) and I always used to make a chocolate cake and decorate the top with Lily of the Valley and tiny violets :) Such nice memories!

Your crocheted squares are so pretty--I look forward to seeing what they will become! I hope you have a delightful month of May--it really is such a beautiful time of year, isn't it? They leave daffodils alone. Here in Amercia May Day used to be celebrated by picking flowers and dancing around the May Pole. In fact, I've never danced around a May Pole! I don't think most people in America even realize it's May Day. It's long been forgotton as a holiday time. So sad! Cathy H.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10779935742253650385noreply@blogger.com
