When shadows flutter

When shadows flutter on my window
Like small birds imprisoned inside of me
That cannot fly away
When the world closes in
And seems so alienated...
Just stand still
Wait
Close your eyes
Breathe
Let life in
It will come and fetch you
When you're ready
To see the light again
And let the soul shine through.

  2. Moving words, Sandra. It's easy to see how those delicate shadows grabbed your attention and fired your imagination. The soft warmth of your portrait is also lovely, with the candlelight adding a touch of mystery.

Have a wonderful weekend. By the way, it's a treat to be one of the first to comment rather than my usual late visit. :)

  11. The leaf shadows on the window and the shadows of the candle flickering on the face - a beautiful way of showing that life comes to fetch you. I love the portrait - very soft and dreamy. Is it you without the specs? It's hard for me to tell.

  21. Sandra ~ words become poetry in your hands! Your first image, beautiful seeing of extraordinary everyday beauty! The diagonal natural forms against the verticals prove a striking contrast and I love the delicate leaf shapes. The candle light selfie is really gorgeous! The color and soft gentle form draw one in. You'll have to tell me the technical side of this piece.
Hoping to write this weekend....no internet at the moment. Writing this from McDonalds :(
