September green

September lighting gives us that special limpid pureness that lights up
all the greens of nature

and for a fleeting moment
it feels like spring!

The berries tell us another story, but we try not to listen...

The woodland areas allow us to enter the mystery and beauty of the changing season.

In the park,  an outside table,
a little brown leaf
floated
landed
and entered my awareness
without a sound.

  8. Sandra, this is a superb "fantasia" in green (as in the musical definition)! I particularly love the second to last image, with its perfect composition. And the last verse sounds like a musical haiku to my ears. Splendid.

  9. Every time I visit, you have a new feast for the eyes. Green is a colour I especially love, and this collection of nature's green treasures with sunlight and bokeh is delightful. The last image and words remind us not to take it for granted though.

  15. Sandra ~ I've been soaking up the last greens of summer, too. You've captured such luminous, luscious greens here today! Shall we tuck them away for the white winter days ahead? Seems like a cheery thought to me:)
    Take care.

  16. Yes, we try not to listen, but those berries will NOT be ignored. :)

Such a cool and refreshing post. I especially like the delicate needles of the second photo and the ferny depths of the fourth.

  17. What a special post - I love how those berries are muted behind the green fern. Our season is changing - I'm trying to hold onto summer just a wee bit longer!
